Troops arrest herdsmen destroying farmland in various locations, recover weapons

Herdsmen destroying farmland have been arrested in different locations in the country following the launching of Exercises Ayem Akpatuma. The herdsmen where arrested while destroying farmlands in Benue and Kogi states.
The Nigerian army disclosed this in a statement signed by Brigadier General Texas Chukwu, director army public relations on Thursday, March 1.
Four of the herdsmen where arrested by troops while on patrol along road Gbajimba-Kaseyo-Awe in Benue state. In the patrol, four cutlasses were recovered from the herdsmen.
